Valaciel — Val to his inner circle — is the story's protagonist: a Grade 10 transfer who regressed to January 2009 with [Pre-Rewind] memory intact, Master Aura skill, and Divinity 1 retained from the Void while his bloodline still reads Human only. He hides behind Aura concealment, befriends Dawn and the Gu twins, and carries a one-sided love for Lateresa (Tess) until the second ascent arc unfolds.
